MIAMI-DADE RESTAURANTS OPEN AT 50% CAPACITY - LET'S GO EAT!

Restaurants in Miami have been limited to takeout, delivery, and outdoor dining since early July. Now that restaurants can open for indoor dining, I’m ready to step out and eat! Because -- let’s be honest no matter how hungry I am or how good the food is – eating outside on a patio in Miami’s 89 degree heat with humidity on blast was not the move.

Here are a few places I look forward to trying out soon:

C Food Shack

723 N Lincoln Lane, Miami Beach, FL 33139

Phone: (786) 526-7205; https://cfoodshackmiami.com/menu/

C Food Shack at The Lincoln Eatery on South Beach. C Food Shack is a Caribbean seafood concept serving up everything from Cracked Conch to Jerk Crab Cake BLTs. Guess what all the C Food Shack Snacks all come with coconut bread roll and a lime wedge you can’t get anymore Caribbean than that!! And wait I heard they serving up chicken souse too!

800 Degrees Woodfired Kitchen

2956 Northeast 199th Street Aventura, FL 33180

(305) 902-4363; https://800degreesaventura.com/

I never made it to 800 degrees last year after our 2 favorite NBA Champions, Dwayne Wade and Udonis Haslem opened up the restaurant in partnership with founder/chef Anthony Carron. I can just taste UD’s Woodfired Wings with Calabrian chile glaze with creamy gorgonzola dip.

Red Rooster Overtown

920 NW 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33136

(305) 640-9880; https://www.redroosterovertown.com/

Chef and restaurateur Marcus Samuelsson transformed a shuttered landmark in Overtown Miami into the likeness of his highly successful Red Rooster Harlem restaurant. The Creamery at Red Rooster Overtown debuted at the South Beach Food & Wine Festival in February, people who were able to score a ticket to the From Harlem to Overtown Brunch, hosted by Marcus Samuelsson and Melba Wilson got to be the first to have a sneak peek. Then March came and Samuelsson partnered with Food Rescue U.S and chef Jose Andes to cook meals for the Overtown community in need. The Creamery officially celebrated its grand opening on Juneteenth in Overtown. The restaurant decided to put operations on hold back in July, I know it will be back soon and I can’t wait to the Bird Dog, a crispy chicken tender sandwich with a Florida flair and a cornbread flavored ice cream.

In a press conference, Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez announced that the countywide curfew will be extended to 11 p.m. starting Monday, Sept. 14. Meaning we can go back to being Miami and eating out after 9pm.

Let's go eat!!!
